Chandelier Close-Ups 2

There are 3 of my favorite brooches that were used in this piece. I wanted to show them in their own post because they are special to me.

The pocket watch and the elephant above were found at a local Good Will by a friend that was in my class at the time. After she saw what I was working on, she thought that the two pieces would look really nice with the brooches.

For this assignment we had to use multiple mediums. While looking for items for this project, we needed to think about the life they had before or if they looked like they were lived in. The two main pieces of this project, the trays they items are hanging from, I got from a local Good Will. All of the items hanging except for 3 of them are my grandmas brooches, and the chairs that they are hanging from where hers.

This project means a lot to me because it is made for my grandmother. She is still with us, but I know that I'll always have her with me because of this piece.

Skull Still Life

Male Portrait

This was the first portrait I've ever painted. Going into this painting, I had no idea what I was going to do and where I was going to start it. I decided that I wanted to try out an acrylic painting technique but with oil paint. I wanted a lot of dimension and structure using lines to really pull out the structure and shape of the skull under the skin.
